Hip Lyke Junk took it’s roots almost 20 years ago while the founder, Kenna Kolodetsky, was studying Architecture at UT Arlington. Her first two loves (music and thrifting)were married when she secured the back area of a local indie record store (CDX in Hurst, TX where she was a regular patron at the tender age of 13) and Hip Lyke Junk opened for business. 

After graduating from UTA with a BS in Interior Architecture, Kenna worked in her field and business development.  Along the way she never gave up her passion for antique, vintage, MCM, rarities and oddities and continued acquiring.

In early 2020, with the pandemic, her family’s health and her twin daughters education to facilitate virtually, her dream of sharing her keen eye for design on her own terms came to fruition.

Hip Lyke Junk reopened virtually featuring all things vintage, MCM, antique and all things interesting. She hopes you adore it as much as
she does.
